Studying the U.S.A.? Here is a wonderful resource devoted to state flowers! Each page has a large state flower to color + the state name. Also included are two notebooking / report pages for students to use (optional) so they can write a little about each flower. Whether you are studying each state or simply want to provide some coloring fun with an educational twist to your day, students will enjoy this resource!
Students will love this creative project. This cross-curricular, Language Arts & Social Studies resource will give students templates to create two U.S. President flip books – one for George Washington and one for Abraham Lincoln. A great February activity around Presidents’ Day or when discussing Washington and/or Lincoln’s birthdays.
This can be used for 1st, 2nd or 3rd Grades. For younger students, you can opt to give them facts for each president and allow them to choose which ones to write in the books. For older students, you can also choose to have students read a passage that you already have or to do a little research on their own to find facts. Students should write at least 5 facts on each flip book as each will have 5 pages.
42 page resource to use along side the book, Days with Frog and Toad
Students will practice reading a grid map and a map key with these town themed worksheets. Students will be given a grid map and key of a small town and asked several questions requiring them read and navigate throughout the map. There are also two additional activities to extend learning (through writing and creative design). Answer Key included.
